How does road to 90 work?

I was under the impression while a world had "new" status your character had the buff, but it's fallen off my alts on Dynamis (not on Seraph) since 7.05 dropped. Is this working as intended or did something get broken during maintenance?

My daily limit has been reached so I'll just add it here:

it lasts 90 days from the day you created your character

I created one of these characters back in October last year, though. It's been well over 90 days since then.

isnt it until your characters are 90?

As far as I know it only lasts 90 days for transferred characters to the "New" world.


Characters created on the "New" world will have the bonus until the world loses it's status. I noticed today that my character on Seraph have lost the "Road to 90" experience bonus, I think it's a bug and I'll be opening a thread about it.

There are apparently two ways to lose the buff:

1) Reach 90

2) If your world loses its new status then any character older than 90 days will lose the buff.

I really wish this stupid thing was optional. I don't want it, it is preventing me from transferring to the data center I actually want to be on.

The world probably had its classification changed so that it no longer grants these buffs, because it's a congested world now and the bonus exists to attract people away from congested worlds.
