Everyone has been busy farming Purple Scrips for the new Master Recipes XI!
Thus, we're all looking for the fastest, cheapest way to do the Rarefied lvl 99 Collectable items... The obvious questions are:
(1) What class did you choose to farm Purple Scrips?
(2) And what macro do you use?
Black Star requires 2 steps to synthesize, and is very mat-heavy to make. That pretty much ruled out CRP, BSM, ARM and GSM for Purple Scrip-farming... They're all unfavorable classes.
ALC involves a lot of expensive mats. So it's also not desired.
Both WVR and LTW seem pretty good. CUL is also ok.
Thunderyard Silk requires only Levinsilk to make. And if you had been farming FATEs to get the Shared FATE vendors unlocked, then you probably have saved up a crap ton of Gargantua Hide as well.
What is your choice?
Personally, I chose WVR since my retainers can bring back 30 pieces of Levinsilk per venture run (see my other thread for details: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...n-Test-Results). This is because Levinsilk is a lvl 99 item. Meanwhile, items such as Ra'Kaznar Ore is lvl 100, so my retainers can only gather 20 pieces per run. Lightning Crystals were also very, very cheap from the previous expansion. So I'm loaded with them.
For rotation, here is my Purple Scrip collectable 2-part macro:
Prp Scrp P1 - 580 cp
/ac "Reflect" <wait.3>
/ac "Waste Not II" <wait.2>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Innovation" <wait.2>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
/ac "Immaculate Mend" <wait.3>
/ac "Trained Perfection" <wait.3>
/ac "Veneration" <wait.2>
/ac "Groundwork" <wait.3>
/echo DT Purp Scrip Farm Part 1 - done <se.2>
Prp Scrp P2 - 580 cp
/ac "Groundwork" <wait.3>
/ac "Groundwork" <wait.3>
/ac "Groundwork" <wait.3>
/ac "Basic Synthesis" <wait.3>
/echo DT Purp Scrip Farm Part 2 - done <se.6>
It's short... It's fast... It requires low stats... which is what we desired. Unfortunately, I can't get it to go under 1 single macro.
