    Replying to show my support for them to bring back Noxious Gnash and revert the change. Having the debuff made you want to consider when to use "Vicewinder" as to not overcap the debuff's timer, and also plan ahead of burst to make sure you have plenty of time to double Reawaken. Now you just spam "Vicewinder" off cooldown unless it would overcap Rattling Coil. This removed what little optimization the job had. I was sad when they turned every step of Monk's 1-2-3 combo into leaden fist as it was my favorite job in Endwalker, and now they did the same with Viper's debuff. Also I find it a bit ridiculous that they would remove the weakening poison debuff from the job literally called "Viper".

    I bet they're kicking themselves for ever relenting on terrible changes like that. Now we're never going to stop asking for dumb changes to be reverted.
    Maybe you'll get it in 9.0. we seem to get one every other expansion.

    The class was designed to unga and they made it more in line with that philosophy. I don't see any indication they ever wanted it to be a class that had to do anything other than tunnel vision on their whack-a-mole buttons.

    Honestly I totally agree the changes should be reverted, the class is way too braindead as of now... Just press the glowing button without thinking your winder stacks and you'll do good. Might as well remove positionals as well now and swap everything under one combo key. I much more would've preferred the original idea of removing some positionals, but this change just kills the only unique skill that you had to think and optimize in otherwise simple and flowing rotation. Was looking forward to raiding with viper but nah, back to some other melee then.

    Same. I just removed Viper from my gearset list after playing it a while after the changes. I just can't feel much enjoyment in it's present state.

    Still shocked at how they thought it would be a good idea to release these changes on Savage drop. Weeks of playing and planning disrupted and for what? What a way to successfully destroy all remaining hype and trust in anything going forward. Why should anyone ever get remotely attached to a job now? Its understandable that changes will happen as expacs come and go and even within major patches but one month of gameplay and on savage release? C'mon now, do I need to wait until the day of each tier to figure out if my job is going to be enjoyable now? I'm disappointed at how far the bar has been lowered at this point.

    Current Viper is better in my opinion and should go for more changes to make it more accessible rather than revert it.

    In my opinion Viper was more fun before the 7.05 changes.

    Maintaining Gnash was far more interesting then hitting Steel and Dread back on forth every 3 combo GCDs.

    Optimizing Dreadwinder cast times to keep up Gnash without over capping was interesting and set a personal challenge. Also for players who were not overcapping Gnash it was not a large loss of damage.

    Having to figure out how to layout my Gnash for Vali EX adds phase was on of the most fun optimizations I've had with the job.

    Viper just doesn't really have alot going on, Make sure you are following the ABCs (Always be casting), hit your cooldowns (Dreadwinder, Serpent's Ire) and dont overcap resources (Uncoiled Fury, Serpent Offerings Gauge). It felt like Gnash was just enough (Tracking a debuff). To keep me engaged with the job play.

    I'm currently playing it in Savage after having played quite a bit of it in EX. I think after I clear this tier I will switch back go SAM if they don't revert it (Or change what gnash used to be into something more interesting!)
