    Well. Yoshi-P actually admitted to ignoring the player feedback in regards to Viper.

    "With regards to the changes for Viper, we had adjusted right until the last minute and we did have in mind the possibility that some players might provide feedback that it was too busy to play. We did release the job in that state, and then we found a lot of players say it was very busy to play to the extent that they were not able to see mechanics.

    The battle team, right until the last minute, were considering whether to make any adjustments to the job. The battle director actually consulted with me because he was quite torn about whether they should go through with an adjustment or not. We announced that we were considering making adjustments to the job, but the response to that was a lot of feedback from players who had already reached the level cap and were already used to playing with the job, and they were happy with the way it played. However, we had already identified some actions which would inevitably be a cause of stress for players. Eventually, we just went through with adjusting what we had initially planned, and that was unrelated to the community feedback. However, I believe probably there was some misunderstanding on the community's part."

    In what world is VPR so busy as to not be able to pay attention to mechanics? Where was this feedback? Just baffling decisions with both of the new jobs.

    It doesn't surprise me at all that they ignored the feedback of level 100 Vipers who actually bothered to learn the job and get it to max level to experience the full kit. They have to cater to the selfish, lazy players who want every job to play the same and be extremely simple with no room for error. It's ridiculous they were worried about feedback on players struggling to focus on mechanics while doing their rotation, when you'll struggle on any job that's new to you because you're still learning and memorizing how to play it. After I got to max level, I did the first extreme trial's mechanics just fine as Viper while still doing my rotation. If players still struggled even after getting to max level, then that means the job isn't for you, pick another one instead of needing it simplified and homogenized. Unfortunately the devs have no faith in their job design to hastily rework it so soon, nor their players to learn the jobs.

    Directional requirements haven't been changed though, so you've clearly listened. Was that one unplanned and just brought up for fun? Are we sweeping this under "misunderstanding"?

    Anyway, job's just as busy as before, it's just that now I can't look away from the hotbar anymore because there's no debuff timer now that dictates which skills I can safely ignore, leading to not being able to watch mechanics as much.

    This highlights just how poor of a decision it was. Most people knew there was hardly enough time to actually get some valuable feedback and that the changes were in complete disregard to the droves of feedback that all repeated: "Leave the job alone." This just confirms that they blatantly ignored the feedback and just tried to resolve a made-up issue before it even began while ignoring all else. It was way too hasty of a decision that frankly, comes off as lazy. If this is the design philosophy they have towards jobs, then everyone should be worried. I hope they do not continue with this misguided thinking going forward. Revert these changes, and actually listen to job feedback from those that play the jobs. Let it survive at least one major patch and savage tier before destroying it (on the day the tier released, no less).
