If they're going to reuse gear would it hurt them to swap the gear to different roles? This excuse of "we need to keep the tank/heal/dps identity" is an excuse for laziness when people can wear a pig or squirrel costume as any role.

Swapping armor models between roles is something I can get behind, that would be a good way to mix things up and give people something "new" that wouldn't require any actual additional effort on CS3's part.

All that work of changing the database field for equippable from "ARC BRD MCH DNC" to "CNJ WHM SCH AST SGE" is quite stressful. I can understand why CS3 has been avoiding such a worrisome undertaking. If CS3 is in need of a database programmer to write up a script to do this complex heavy lifting, I, and I'm sure many others, are more than willing to put in the 10 minutes of effort needed to make one.
