    Viper Defanged

No, I am not putting this opinion in one of the other mega threads because I WANT these opinions to be widespread across thousands of threads and to be a problem of flooding any avenue of feedback.

I don't know who the hell was complaining about Viper being too difficult to play or Noxious Gnash being too difficult to handle.

I... in the interest of remaining somewhat within the bounds of politeness... do not wish anything nice upon those people.

I would have agreed with increasing the duration of Noxious Gnash, or even moving it to a personal damage buff from a conditional enemy debuff, but removing it entirely was such a kneejerk horrible decision.

Noxious Gnash made the rotation more dynamic and engaging because of having to remember to double stack Noxious Gnash before entering a double reawaken window. Needing to remember to not apply dread fangs when dreadwinder was coming up so that you didn't overcap and waste the extra potency.

These little decisions made for a small avenue of skill expression in a job that literally tells you what button to press.

So what if the GCD rotation has more maintenance to it than other DPS jobs, it has NOTHING ELSE to do other than maintain Noxious Gnash. I'm actually upset that I chose to play it this expansion because just like every other job they lobotomized it straight into the trash.

Good job SE, you've entirely ruined my faith for you ever designing jobs correctly. Hopefully you take a page out of your own book actually bringing back entertaining encounter design and apply that commitment to designing your jobs because this ain't it, chief.

They couldn't keep steady on a new class for a week before caving to the fourms. How can you trust anything about fixing classes in the future. Even if they do they will revert as soon as any jp push back exists.

Agree with the idea that thoughts shouldn't drown in multipage threads tho. It's frustrating how unheard people are sometimes.

Didnt even noticed, that they removed the buff.
But, come on, it looks like, that they improved in comparision the potency of the other skills, to make up the lose of this buff. And you can not forget it now (forget the same kind of buff sometimes by reaper)

Its not about potency, its about gameplay. You now don't have to track Noxious Gnash, which removes a noticeable part of what made the Viper Rotation interesting. Instead of using both Dreadwinder Cooldown and Noxious Gnash timing as a measurement of when to use Dread Fangs over Steel Fangs, you now just alternate the two.
Potency can be adjusted up and down without many issues, this is not where peoples criticism lies.

Just don’t play the job if you don’t like it. It’s really simple. Just like what a lot of people were saying others should do if they didn’t like the previous iteration of it.

Fun to be on the other side of it now, right?

Anyways. I will continue to play viper because I like the theme of the class. Most people choose classes for the minute amount of “difficulty” that it brings… which for most classes is minuscule and if you want something more challenging then you should play a harder game.

There were no other jobs I liked. Every time I like a job in this game, it gets trashed because of people like you.

People like you forced us onto the other side of it. You always had the option of playing any of the other TWENTY jobs this game has to offer, but you opted to take away the only one you didn't want to play. Your "just play a different job" argument doesn't work when you're end goal is changing literally every single job into a watered-down, mind-numbing version of itself.
