Which is a fair and good explanation why these jobs are changed the way they are.
SE is tuning the game so that everyone can enjoy this, and not just a select few.
And from a long-term perspective, this makes way more sense than catering to a niche group of players.
Turbo casuals could have just applied NG in every combo to keep up their debuff timer without thinking. It's not like the people who struggle with tracking debuffs are doing any content where that potency loss matters. There was no reason to remove decision making and make the job less fun for everyone else.
