People gonna complain.
Change the job, people on the forums cry that “my groin hurts”.
Don’t change the job, people outside of the forums cry “my groin hurts”.
Either way, someone’s groin hurts.
I just laugh at all of you.

My main takaway is that I feel like if I were a reaper main I'd feel annoyed right now. With Viper losing its maintenance debuff that was tied to its main rotation within a month of being released, while reaper still has two buttons dedicated to just putting up their +damage debuff.

Eww no, stop with the simplification requests. I don't want reaper to be braindead too.My main takaway is that I feel like if I were a reaper main I'd feel annoyed right now. I'm really disappointed with these changes. the debuff on vpr was really fun to upkeep. a short enough timer to make it meaningful but a part of the combo and cooldowns so figuring out target swaps was very enjoyable. ex1 add phases are really fun to figure out with how to keep the debuff up and swap targets cleanly. i thought complaints were about the dreadwinder positionals i don't understand why we chased down the debuff instead

Debuff reworked into a bootshine buff
Names of abilities seemingly changed at random
Debuff removed from dreadwinder
Lots and lots of potency buffs
I assume you still want Dreadwinder, excuse me, "Vicewinder" as an opener as that is how you get hunter's coil and swiftskin's coil quickly.

What an awful change, yea just slap even more buff bloat into the buffs and risk buff cap, again. This gnoxious fang change was for players who don't even play the job, if you didn't like it the job was NEVER for you. The buttons do not have any meaning now as well since the buffs all last 60 seconds, just hit the glowing buttons, no thought process, no planning, no thinking. I miss stormblood when they made as WORK for it but alas.

Noxious Gash wasn't exactly good but our replacement they came up with in 4 seconds is substantially worse. One of the core rotational decisions you were always making is ensuring Dreadwinder doesn't overcap Noxious by managing when to Steel Fangs and when to Dread Fangs, that is now removed with literally no replacement and "Vicewinder" can be mindlessly mashed whenever you feel like it since the CD can't even drift. New combo buffs are also overly generous which eliminates interactions with Reawaken. The only justification for having like 8 buttons total was all the interactions between them but now? Now it's just melee Summoner with double weaves.

yes , VPR changes are trash and must be reverted!

Personally, I’m okay with the changes. I didn’t have an issue with the last iteration either.
I have also also remember that I’m not a particularly whiney individual who’s caught up in the “all about what I like” and “it’s about me” mindset.

It was more fun to keep up the timer than to alternate the starters, I'd rather have seen Noxious Gnash upgraded to 60s over it being completely removed. Vicewinder is a terrible name and it feels empty to press now, before when it gave the debuff it was reasonable that it had no OGCD's after it, now it just kind of feels like its just there. I guess damage is damage but it was fun when it had a meaning towards optimizing debuff time, now it's kind of just another cooldown and doesn't even have double weaves or anything.
I'm going to play this iteration but I'd rather see the change to Noxious Gnash reverted and Dread debuff restored, and if they really want to make it easier then just increase the debuff time.
