This is my favorite Gate game of Gold Saucer. Thank you devs for making this. I wish this Gate appeared more often.

Yeah it kinda sucks all the fun stuff is timegated, its one of the few things i really enjoy a lot as well...
Not gonna lie, it's a pretty fun mini-game.
I'd like it better if there was a option to make it go faster. The game is easy to the point of being near impossible to fail, so there's no where to go. There's no room to improve, nothing to make it more interesting. Leap of Faith and Cliffhanger at least let you compete against yourself to see how fast you can go. Air Force One is literally on rails so it doesn't even have that going for it.
That's probably a concession for being online, to allow for variance in connection (after all, we're already having people complain about latency in normal combat/gameplay, so a fully optional minigame that requires precise trigger combat would just be too difficult to balance taking latency into account - Chocobo Racing suffers from this problem somewhat).I'd like it better if there was a option to make it go faster. Considering it's based on the rollercoaster minigame from FFVII, while using an enemy from FFVI as the premise, and the original was quite frustating the first few times I did it, I'm not surprised SE made the FFXIV version easier (besides, if you're a little too hot on the trigger you can still lose points by inadvertently hitting a bomb target or two, or miss a target).

I like this one as well. But if you use a mouse, it's so easy it's silly. I suppose, if you wanted a challenge, you could attempt it with a controller or steam deck?
These days, it doesn't come up very often. Seems like whenever I go to do GATEs for challenge log, it's leap of faith 5 times in a row. Definitely seems stacked heavily for that GATE in particular.
I'm also a big fan of Air Force One! Give us a savage version where every missed shot is -20 and the targets appear later. I don't even want better rewards, I just think it would be fun.
