It's been an issue since the beginning of Blue Mage release. It's just how it is, really. You can wait until the first week or two of the event has happened when everyone has finished grinding and then less people are doing it.

I suggest they become comfortable joining a party. There is nothing to be afraid of. Usually, nobody talks anyway and if they do, they are chill. Set one up yourself by clicking Recruit and then select the FATE category.
