Desktop/Console icon for players

We've all been in a dungeon, raid, or trial and been trying to communicate with another player. We type in chat, ask them a question, and we get no reply. We feel like we're being ignored, but odds are that the other player is on console and can't type for lack of a keyboard.

I feel like there should be an icon similar to status icons or role/job icons (for those with them enabled) that indicates whether a player is on PC/Desktop or on console so that other players in duty can know that when they say something in chat and it goes unacknowledged, they know that they're not being ignored, the other player is just using a controller.

(ESPECIALLY for high level raiding thru duty finder. Random queuing into raids and having other players trying to communicate with a console player (and then growing frustrated when the console player doesn't reply because they don't have a keyboard) would be made smoother if each player could understand right away who can and cannot respond to them through chat.)

Im on console and use a keyboard to type, I also know which players are on console because I can see their console username for ps4/ps5. So I also know who is on pc, well I did until xbox version came out.

That’s only if you’re in menus though. I think OP wants to see it on the party list without having to open up a menu and check.

I reckon there’s lots of players (like myself) who don’t always use a keyboard. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered haha

this is correct; ive played on both console and desktop and not having the ability to communicate easily on console is the primary reason i switched over to desktop
