They really hate lips with this graphics update. The biggest downer for me has been how destroyed lips have been. Half my characters, not even with the fullest lip options, have fish lips. So many faces look like they got horrible lip fillers and lost definition to lip shapes and mouth corners. The lighting makes it look like their holding their breath with their cheeks out. I hate it and hope they fix it.

true, he looks slightly prettier now and his eyes don't have a lifeless stare into the void anymore.

It's not about what YOU think, it's about changing a character's features for no reason.
He looks like a different person. Unless they tell me Thancred had plastic surgery between patches, this shouldn't happen.

Bump with a very telling GIF comparison by Turethir. Very much highlights the vacantly-smiling himbo expression he now has. The smirks used to mean something, y'know.

He basically had RBF before (or RDF for a guy?) and now he's somewhat smiling all the time due to his eye and lip shape. He was a gruff and not overly happy scion before due to his past. It fit his character. This constant "smile" he now has is just as inappropriate as that song.

This last comparison really highlights the issue. His upper lip is too thin now and the corners of his mouth look so different on most expressions. His eyes express very differently now too. These changes are subtle but add up to something pretty significant.

Please bring back his old model! He looked fine as he was!

Thancred’s unique features and charm points have completely disappeared, and now his face looks like something a player could create using the character creator.

If I come across any other comparison images besides the ones I posted on the Japanese forums, I’ll share them here. (I’ve been too scared to look closely at the new version of Thancred, so I haven’t gone back to check the inn’s Unending Journey much…)

If anyone has comparison images (of the same scenes from the previous version, from ARR to Endwalker patch 6.58), I’d greatly appreciate it if you could share them! Additionally, it’s not just the differences in features; the lighting in many cases has also become quite odd compared to before. If you have any images highlighting that, please share them as well!

サンクレッドが好きすぎてサンクレッドを日々研究している者です。
今回のグラフィックスアップデートにより、サンクレッドが別人のように顔が変わってしまったことが個人的に非常に気になり、そのことでなかなかメインストーリーを進められずにいたので今回こちらに初投稿いたしました。サンクレッドはミッドランダー男性ですので、ここで他の方々がミドラン男性について要望されていることと共通する部分もあります。
以下に、比較しやすいよう漆黒・暁月の同じムービーシーンを旧・新と並べて添付いたします。
左が6.58までの旧グラのサンクレッドで、右が宿屋で見た7.0でアップデートされたサンクレッドになります。
