The VA even said they avoid yelling cause it makes them sound like a male.

An experienced trans VA may be able to pull it off but the VA of Wuk Lamat has very little VA work to their name 2 of which being male VA roles.

One of the reasons why some people speculate / speculated the friendship to the EN localization lead is what decided who the role went to and not talent.
That the Wuk Lamat casting was due to Nepotism.

honestly I did the expection in JP VA but my sister did it in English and I was well cringing so hard. that isn't quality that is a joke I said that outloud and outraged she didn't even finish DT because she feel insulted that a female that is supposed to be well the center is a man I will not say the word she said because even for me it was hella free

A lot of people had massive issues with the VA and the quality that was delivered.
The absolute worst was during the already insulting moment when Wuk Lamat barges into our Trial fight.

The "SpeeEeEen, lissun tu mii" in a lowercase yelling was pure cringe. They even re-recorded it cause it was so bad.
I even had people that got into the trial via roulette that said: "oh god, not this one" and left.

Not to mention how a publicity hazard the vile VA is on Social Media with loads of 'hot takes' about FFXIV and other unsavoury things.
This casting was a mistake and can't be attributed to talent imo.

A lot of characters who are like a representative of their respective city-states/areas in each expansion get forgotten about at the turn of the next one and beyond ( I am so sorry Aymeric, my pookie ) with the exception of them gathering with the others talking about something important or a quest pertaining to that specific area which doesn't seem to last long. The same thing will happen to Wuk Lamat.

It's fine to dislike her but I think a lot of people who play this game get thrown into hysterics very easily without much forethought. Human beings are creatures that are naturally pattern-seeking. Keep up.

There was a time - we call it 'Original ARR Post-patch content' where every single emotion and opinion expressed in this thread could have been just as easily been expressed with a CTRL+H on 'Wuk Lamat' for 'Alphinaud'.

I have said it in the past, wuk shouldn't be killed off but rather just be completely dropped from the story to be never mentioned again.

wuk is a very busy person, with many tacos to eat while having everyone else solve all the problems. Shouldn't force her away from that.
