I think you missed the fact that most people won't even played FF14 if they hate JRPG?

If anything, Wuk Lamat has more similarity with the hot garbage Mary Sue coming from Disney in recent years than the traditional FF14 character we've been getting in the last decades.

Here is some facts alot of people play FFXIV and not liking the typical jRPG thing you speak of and like other sides of the game instead.

FFXIV is a huge game as it is, so that is pointless as well to throw out, if you play ONLY for the MSQ, then find another game, you would be better satisfied with a singleplayer game if the case.

You are just basically saying to a vast part of the playerbase "go play somthing else". Good for you, but I'm not sure FFXIV will survive a long time (or will still have the budget it has) with only what remain after this purge.

MMORPG is mostly what is next to it, MSQ is minor in comparison, else you would just stay subscribed when there is an expansion and at every major patch.

The heck any of that have anything to do with what I said even? What's the point of quoting someone if you just throw out random lines?

Also FYI, I probably play 80%-90% of what FF14 has to offer (the 10%-20% are probably criterion and fishing related gameplay), doesn't mean I can't point out the 15%-25% that sucks. What constitute that piece varies from time to time, and for DT it's the MSQ.

Just like I probably played 2/3 of JRPG released on the market, and I will also point out some of them sucks.

If I order a meal with 5 dishes, it's normal to praise the good and criticize the bad. I'm not gonna throw out the entire tray because the fries isn't cook right, just like I won't just accept that with no criticism.

Try to learn how to think on a spectrum instead of only the extremes, it's an important life skill that's worth cultivating.

It is rubbles, if you truely play FFXIV, then it is most of all not for the MSQ, the MSQ through all expansions has and still got huge quirks.... the expansions is most of all the next 10 levels and better gear due to higher ilevel.

Wuk though is very Japanese, a fact a western person like you, wont be able to grasp, as stuck in some kind of mainstream thing.

This game is a Japanese game first of all, and most of all that is the target audience, it is not like them Marvel Heroes or whatever.

Even the Japanese player base doesn’t like her. As evidenced by the Japanese character popularity poll they did recently where she isn’t even in the top 10 despite being the main character.

It wasn't with previous expansions either, the wrong guys and gals topped the charts, and that is how it is.

Not in Dawntrail. Not in any definition that you can give to being the "main character".
That's the main flaw of this expansion for me, and one of the reason Wuk Lamat is receinving more hate that she would have otherwise.
