    The difficulty of normal content is great as is. Do not revert them.

    In my six years of playing this game, I took my time specifically to make my first ever forum post to say that like tons of others, I loved the more engaging normal content design. This has been the expansion I had the most fun doing expert in since Stormblood, and I do not want the only voice being filled on the official forum to be people who does not want to engage with fight mechanics at all.

    It's not just me either, my FC of 40 people of mostly casual players are also having a blast with the new dungeons. In fact, I have not heard a single one of my FC member outright say that they do not enjoy the improved fight designs. A few of them are even fully committed to crafter main and they had a blast as well.

    SE, casual playerbase do enjoy the more engaging fight encounters. This game is on the right track. Please do not change them.

    I'm terrified that SE is going to start nerfing the current encounters and babying the future ones. Honestly wish SE would be bold and go as far as to patch the difficulty of older content by limiting the max IL to be closer to what the content was designed for- that way a far larger % of the content could be engaging and NOT a total snooze. Doubt that's going to happen though, which limits me to praying current content doesn't get easier.

    Let me explain what will happen: players will stop doing roulettes and new players will sit in long queues trying to get through the said content. Getting a pop for a specific alliance raid could already be an issue during pre-DT lull, with what you suggest it's only going to get worse.

    Probably would cause an amount players to stop doing roulettes. Shrug. I want what's good for me, and what's good for me is something more interesting than a ARR raid (every single day) where the bosses melt before doing anything.

    The problem is...nothing different has happened. Leveling dungeons don't suffer from power creep, and the level cap dungeons and raids are brand new. With little to no ilvl sync, they'll just get more and more lethargic with each new patch like always.

    Yes, and that's precisely what SE would like to avoid. Less people in roulettes = longer queues for MSQ content.

    I agree that the difficulty of the dungeons are fine as is. The ONLY exception is the first boss in The Strayhborough Deadwalk. SE could tone it down a smidge (make the dolls predictable on which ones will grab you and which ones won't, for example). But the other two fights in that dungeon are just fine.

    If roulette content is made harder there's a population that will leave roulettes, yeah.

    there's also a population that will join roulettes as it actually becomes gameplay, and a large amount of people that will queue regardless because they want the rewards. There's no impending risk of duty finder drying out.

    That is an incredibly selfish point of view.

    In what way is that a selfish viewpoint?

    You want the game to be pushed in a direction that caters ONLY to people who DO NOT ENJOY the game. The person you're replying to, wants the game's level 100 content to actually be designed for players who enjoy the game, instead of people who don't want to play it at all.

    The selfish opinion is the one asking to take away the most basic level of interaction with the game's content in favor of letting people who don't want to play XIV in the first place, get to literally afk through the game's level 100 content while everyone else is forced to play content that has no level of interaction whatsoever and is genuinely significantly easier than the level 40 dungeons.

    It's not like XIV doesn't literally give you hundreds of hours of content that use recurring mechanics and incredibly intuitive encounter design in order to teach you how these mechanics work in advance...

    Woah woah I was gonna side till you said you want personalize experience in a mmo meant to be played by us all. Thats like me saying I wish the furry tiger ppl could be remove so I can experience ff14 without seeing weird animal race in game. Some weird stuff like that. If your experience with the game is meh, might be time to take a break play something different. I don't wanna play ur personalize version of ff14 cause I know many of you all ideas are trash and I already can smell the casuals on forum trying to make ff14 easy.....but seriously stop with the personalizing of ff14 if the ideas dont benefit a majority of players then the idea as a whole is trash.
