"Cross-class glamours" are not a thing and the glamour dresser does not let you circumvent class restrictions. It applies the same way as if you used a stack of prisms to apply the glamours.

It will usually give you a warning that you've put mismatched gear on a plate, though I don't recall whether it actually stops you from saving the plate. It may allow it because technically you could be applying level 1 job-locked glamours to all-class or all-DoW low level gear, in which case it might happily apply the aiming hat glamour to the compatible hat and the reaper pants glamour to the compatible pants, but they're still only going to actually show those glamours when the right class wears them.

User EyeStache uses one glamour plate with MNK equipment for both MNK and DNC. This feature is highly desirable if not developed as a feature already.

Read their post more carefully. They are using all-class gear except for a MNK weapon and ring, which does not get applied when the plate is used for DNC. This is normal expected functioning.
