Can we please have a definitive answer regarding Hats for both Viera and Hrothgar

Before anything, I would like to clarify that this isn't in any way shape or form an attack on the developers, company or game, and if as a player you do not care about this problem, please be kind with what you write, as this is very important to a lot of people.

This topic has been swept under the rug and not addressed for a very long time, and I honestly think the Players deserve better, we at least deserve a Definitive Answer to this issue and topic.

and yes, it is regarding the currant and ongoing issue with hats still being a problem for Both Viera and Hrothgar..

As everyone, or the majority already know that Viera Female and Hrothgar Male Both got included into the game with the launch of the Expansion of Shadowbringers, that's 4 years ago... with it came the issue of both of those races not being able to wear hats..

I could be wrong but I swear that Yoshida did mention that with patches they will slowly be able to start to wear hats, 4 years later and not even 1 hat was made wearable by both races... all we can wear are things that are placed on the forehead or eyewear/face wear..

As I am one out of thousands who are dedicated to the game and paying monthly subscription, do we not at least deserve an answer to this question?


Moreover, let it be known and noticed that we are noticing how the developers are maneuvering around the issue rather than fix it with each expansion and patch ever since shadowbringers. almost every raid or dungeon that got released with an obtainable set of gear, has some sort of face wear instead of an actual headpiece, hat or headwear... same goes with every Job specific gear that got added ever since 5.0.

Why is it still a problem.. when there are images and videos circulating online of a person who managed to use a third party tool to solve the issue with hats... and that is one person.. he made it possible yet Square Enix cannot? please make sense of that.

It is not our fault for not being patient, because we have been very patient and understanding, but this is going way too far.

when I saw Female Hrothgar being added in Dawn Trail, I honestly thought as the newest addition to the game in 2024 they will at least be able to wear hats.. but Boy was I wrong, not even they can wear hats and they are the newest addition too, it is almost ridiculous at this point.

I am really tired of being forced to make due with what limited options I have... as a Viera I really don't mind if the hats cover my Rabbit ears.. really I don't at this point.
because I am honestly just fed up with the excuses... and always asking us to be patient and understanding.


It honestly makes me Question why is an MMORPG game in 2019-2024 adding a race without making sure its 100% ready.. and if hats were never going to be wearable by both races.. why not just say it? instead of keeping us hopeful to each patch only to end up getting disappointed.


Please Square Enix, give us an answer.

I think Yoshi-P said they were working on adjusting hats to fit Viera and Hrothgar. However, what we've seen of it so far, is a shrinked hat put on their forehead (like the varsity hat). I do hope that is NOT their solution to the problem.

I just wish they would let the ears clip through the hats. And we can choose if we want to wear it or not. But because of, I don't know, quality control or such, they can't do the same as the third party tool is doing. It's the same issue with hairstyles. They keep adding short hairstyles to not have to deal with clipping issues with longer ones, while most players don't care. It's because of this "quality" they're forced to deliver. So they just don't, I guess.

Well, considering a lot of chest pieces are pretty messed up on female hrothgar I'm not terribly optimistic they'll bother to do anything about hats.

Modding community was already better than DT... And many years ago : for textures, details, viera hats and what not. That's a bit sad tbh.
