    Please give us things to do on the overworld

    With everything being instancied in this game, we spend a lot of time in queues. I wish there would be things to do during thoses queues.

    I mean gathering and FATES are nice, but they get boring pretty fast if you don't have a specific reason to do them (about fates, also add something to leave them so you don't miss the thing you queued for 20 min because you're not in the right class and could not change class because you still were considered "in fight").

    The whole overworld is a waiting room, and there is 2 magazines in it.

    FATEs need to be reworked, as do hunts, IMO.

    FATEs need to feel more engaging and honestly world-boss FATEs, e.g., Chi, need to be a bit more common / lower respawn timer, with a decrease in rewards. Unironically doing Northern Thanalan FATEs was peak, especially when you got Gorgimera, and you could just see masses of people. Same with Crab in Costa Del Sol.

    Hunts... I know I may get a bit of backlash for this, but the one thing I don't really like very much is there is just too much tracking involved for it to be a genuinely enjoyable experience (personally), and really if you want to do hunts, then you really have to fully committ, and more oft' than not it just gets reduced into being trains. Which yes, gets people out in the open world, but really in many cases only for that immediate train or hunt. It's not really a grand proactive endeavor.

    It would be nice if open world zones functioned similar to Eureka, and especially if they could replicate something like they do with the bunny FATEs.

    What they could do is let Eureka and Bozja "bleed" into the overworld a bit.
    Take the actions, make enemies drop those, let us use then in special fates or world fight's with huge spawning bosses.
    Or make a little zone in every area that is optional and is like some kind of mini eureka because of "aetheric imbalances" where we have to treat carfully. make it optional and all should be happy.

    If not fight content then make it so there is hidden stuff to find. A treasure chest that spawns in specific scenarios, a treasure dungeon you and others in the zone can be pulled it there and now, forcing you to team up or make in single player for all I care.

    Make some hidden quests for specific roles that unlock in certain situations and give a ton of money for example.

    Just little random things and you know what could be found in all that?
    Glamour. Be it gear or just some nice effects you can put on, even a title would be fun.

    Of course my ideas will probably not be liked because of randomness, the internet finding the neccesary steps pretty quickly or not wanting to do anything for stuff.

    But at this point I agree with you. the overworld is so unneded I usually don't even bother with killing the monsters there.

    The thing is there is more to do in the overworld, just no progression point to it so the question is what do you want to be the best method for gameplay the instances or the overworld?

    There are fates, hunts, and gathering but also sightseeing, sidequests, and leves. I don't know many who have done all the side quests, fishing, sightseeing, and fates.

    The real issue most will say is what is the point to most of them? Hunts and fates have there own reward progression but side quests seem useless in exp farm then duties. The main issue I feel is there is no reward or point that would force anyone to put the ques down to do it. It would have to be on pare with rewards with Bozja and Eureka, perhaps more to make people do it outside of the MSQ. Perhaps a very long grind that gives you savage gear as an alternative to get it as we learned from criterion dungeons anything less is not enough to make players get out of the current gameplay cycle.

    i kinda like killing monsters in the overworld. it gives me something to do while i wait for qeues. and since some drop items used in crafting i get Some benefit out of it as well for doing so.
    its still better then twindle me thumbs in limsa or sharlayan. or sit on a bench in solution nine for half an hour as DPS cuz qeues are so screwed up atm

    I agree. They need to go back and redo the old FATE systems. Not necessarily the encounters themselves, but how they all fit into the open world, with better rewards and currencies for pre-SHB FATEs, in particular.
    Also add stuff like random drops beginning quests etc. rather than just static yellow quests all over the place.
    Oh and: fix the EXP from yellow quests, it is so low it's not even funny.

    beast tribe quest last for 24 days, it's nice while it last, but there is nearly no reason to redo them once you get to max reput (compared to collectible, it's just not worth the time for gathering/crafting materias). Treasures maps are instancied too, so you can't do that while queuing something else.

    Hunt train... the community is so much into doing A and S in trains only that it's frowned upon (that's an understatement) when you fight one out of a train. I wouldn't consider that something you can do while queuing.
