Synchronisation of settings between clients/platforms is needlessly poor

(I think it is a bit disappointing that the pricing structure of FFXIV does not allow a discount to be realized by players who use a single account on multiple platforms. We have to pay full price for the expansion for each platform.)

Given the amount additional return value that multi platform account holders at present 'do' provide, then I find the experience of using a single account on multiple platforms to be needlessly poor. A small bit more of that revenue could be invested in catering for us 'multiple' platform players specifically. In particular I refer to the experience of synchronizing character settings (hotbars, HUD etc.)

This could immediately massively be improved by increasing the 'settings uploads per day limit' from 1 to 2. (A lot more than that could be done but...) that alone would be transformative. To limit it to 1 and not improve that, is needless.



I play the majority of time on PC. But often on PS5 when relaxing with casual content. (I also very occasionally play on Steamdeck).
Obviously I want my hotbars to be synchronized, and ideally my equipment sets too.

I have to use a HUD setup for each platform (2 for main PC, 1 for PS5, 1 for 2nd PC(Steamdeck))
(side matter- it's a nuisance that you can't select 'which' elements of your settings you want to restore and which you don't. i.e 'just restore/sync hotbars, leave HUD etc)

download from server overwrites 'all' character settings.

I want to be able to within the same play session (15 minutes):

1. decide I feel like playing on PS5 this Saturday morning...
2. upload/sync my PC's character settings to servers
3. log into PS5 and download/restore/sync settings (server-PC > PS5)
4. it may be a I will need to tweak HUD#3 on PS5, and so do
5. I now 'must' be able to again 'immediately' upload sync settings PS5>server so that I have my new PS5 HUD#3 settings to download to PC, which I want to use later that same day.
   I cannot do this at present because I am prevented from 5 by the one upload per day limit

What this means is that by when I play on PC this evening, I will make all sorts of changes to equipment slots, maybe some more hotbar or HUD. And its now too late to upload the settings from PS5 tomorrow, because that will wipeout even more changes that I made on PC this evening.

What this now means is that instead I will again sycnronise from PC next time, loose all the PS5 HUD changes from '4'. Again the next time, and the next.

I appreciate that there has to be an upload limit or ToS breaking modders will abuse and decide clever to needlessly autosync on 'every' login. But increasing the limit by just 1 would be transormaitive.
(Personally I would like clients to register for a unique ID, and you to get one upload per day per client ID. But if that's too hard, just increasing from 1 to 2 per day would be such a 'quality of life' improvement.

OP here. This problem in this particular post is barely a contributing reason (I'm a non-raid/dying DC refugee so I've had worse issues) but I've just un-subbed for the first time in four years. Too many dropped balls. The camel's back is broken.
