    there is a giant meteor being pulled towards a planet....

    have your friend drop a ball off the roof of a condo, and then shoot him dead.... is the ball going to stop?

    When you throw a ball forwards, what is the force that prevents it from randomly stopping mid air and falling to earth (obviously not gravity)
