*Laughs in Bloodwhetting*Perhaps it is to stop tanks from pulling 2-3 sets of add at a time. Healers may of balked at that on a regular basis. I know I stopped healing dungeons a few yrs back due to tanks pulling more than they could control and then I got swarmed with adds..But then, that was just me, 1 healer and my experience. I do hear lots of healer chatter tho
Forcing single add pulls helps them standardize the time to complete dungeons, and estimate subscription time revenue better.
They need to measure your money output, please wait.
It doesnt matter if i take 20 or 40 min for my daily dungeon, if i wanna grind i do em 24537x in row till levelcap, same for tome. if i do 1-2 daily i do 1-2 daily, either give us more mobs with less walls or just remove em and buff the mobs, idc...
If you ask me, I think doors and stuff should disapear but mobs should hit the tank like trucks. Tanking dungeons became SUPER boring. Just get the 2 pulls, reach the "door/wall", spam your aoe 1-2-3 and your mitigations if tank, repeat for 2 pulls and boss. It's THE-EXACT-SAME-EVERY-DUNGEON. I know 99% of the players don't like this idea...but In some dungeons I think it would be cool if we needed to use skills like SLEEP (remember? Sleep? its still in your Magic DPS and Healer skills, crazy right?) or freezing at the spot like the Ice Jutsu of the NIN or that "leg shot" of the MCH. Just to give some...spice? Something extra to do to everybody?
I remember in the ARR days it was more common to use Sleep, Slow, stuns, freeze and stuff to prevent enemies to reach the party while dealing with a patrol...but everything evolved into "LET'S PULL THE WHOLE DUNGEON!!!!!"
