The only thing I want is a button that says: Do you want a max level character or start one anew?
That is AFTER you have already cleared the MSQ and have at least 1 class at lvl 100 on your account. That's it..

Curiosity here ... why, exactly? Does there have to be any gil for this level 100 character? Are you attempting to corner the housing market across worlds? Should that max level character come with appropriate gear, or will starting gear be enough? Do the gathering and crafting jobs have to be maxed out as well?
Think through the logistics for a bit and let me know the "why".

+1 for more alt friendlyness
yes please
make a new accountwide glamsystem. glam is one of the most important things in this game. so it should be worth it.
for satisfying glam builduing we need 5 basic glamplates + 2 more for each class / job
pls add old glowy ex trial weapons for new jobs!
and for gods sake pls give as the ability to preview any hairstyle on our own character!

One thing I'd like is for the moogle mail be open to alts/other players. The fact players need to be on your Friends List to be able to mail anything is ridiculous. What if your friends list is full?, you can't mail anything unless you kick someone off your friends list. Or what if I wanna send something to an alt that they could use food, Piece of gear or otherwise nope can't do that. Unless you get someone trustworthy to trade to and they traded to your alt or you utilize the free company safe To transfer items between players.
Yes please. It's so ridiculous that all store items aren't account-wide. And achievements. I gained those achievements. It shouldn't matter which character I am on, I was the one that did the work.
And also yes, on character creation, just have an option "do you want to have a fresh alt or do you want to start from lvl 100 with everything unlocked?". You wont let us (OCE) DC travel so, if I want to PVP in other regions (last night, literally, Seal Rock was like 1 1/2 hours and had 4 matches. That's it, no more pvp until tonight for probably just 1 hour, as it is Shatter), I need to create an alt. And I have to do the same bloody MSQ over again. And unlock all the jobs. Its tedious and mind-numbing. And I dont have my glam, gil or mounts.

I see a lot of people sharing the sentiment that stuff should be shared, which is good. I would go to World of Warcraft levels of 'we should have a transmog (glamour) journal like that with mounts/pets as well)' but I don't know if they'd go that far. One could hope, though. But even the bare minimum would be better than nothing, and yes, I'm aware not everyone has alts. Not everyone plays Savage or does deep dungeons or any other content, really. Not everyone has housing. Yet stuff's all added for that. I don't think it's a stretch to say people have different playstyles.
It would be nice to have a desire to do something in the game when I legit have no cares to get something on a certain character but again....am story locked on the rest that it may fit on.
For the love of gods, this game should be more alt-friendly. At least drop the story requirements if you've completed it on one character & share shop purchases with the entire account, bare minimum. Bringing this topic up again now that the game is on folks' minds and hopefully the idea of doing content on your main you can apply to your alts is enticing!
It would be a huge QoL thing that makes the game offer so much more for me to go for.

Well... this is relevant now more than ever, I feel, with the amount of people leaving the game for a variety of reasons.

Saw the link to this thread in your signature from a Certain Other Thread and I am 100% on board with this. Part of the reason I'm kind of burning out on FFXIV is because I feel "trapped" to one character. I can't flex or play around with other character concepts without sinking more money and time into them just so they have the same robust array of emotes and glamour that my main has. Combined with how rigid the leveling process is (having to start all the way back in ARR and unable to even travel to the newer zones without first going through the multiple-days-long storyline), it really discourages experimentation with style and concepts, for those of us inclined to RP.
Big support for this idea.
