I had 29 death Eden Furor (Garuda+Ifrit) raid from roulette yesterday. 6 people completely ignoring mechanics and dying to everything.2) there needs to be some way to curb the amount of rezzes that can be done in a fight, you shouldn’t be allowed to rezz bot a 7 minute fight into a 22 minute fight just because you have one semi competent rezzer and a whole bunch of people who have no idea what they are doing
Sure, normal content should be tuned for everybody, but being able to brute force it in such absurd manner is too much.
I always queue for normal raids as RDM unless I'm with friends and yeah....I've definitely done my share of Eden Furors where I did about 10+ rezzes haha I feel like that probably shouldn't be a thing. I don't think normal needs a very punishing enrage timer, (Stormblood had VERY lenient enrage timers in their normal raids) but the number of times I've dragged groups to the finish line on RDM is a little excessive.
Extremely agree.
All content needs a DPS check, even dungeons and solo fights. It doesn't even add difficulty, really, it can be generous, just establish a floor of acceptability. What's the point of a striking dummy that drops aoes until you kill it?
Interesting. Seeing as I was in four different parties last night that wiped in M3 four times each and eventually disbanded because the healers never could keep anyone above 50% health. Then timed and wasted LB3 every single time. And I stayed alive. Let's not come for the DPS when it seems healers are struggling to...I don't know. Heal?

Bad are bad. If I can survive that fight as a VPR with just Second Wind and Bloodbath, Healers have no excuse to not be able to heal thru that fight.Interesting. Seeing as I when in four different parties like night that wiped in M3 four times each and eventually disbanded because the healers never could keep anyone above 50% health. How did you solely stay alive out of a party of 8 if it was strictly healing issues and not ppl doing mechs incorrectly?Interesting. My sweet summer child, you dont know what you're asking
Yet I wont complain, I only run NM raids once (with my static) to unlock savage![]()
Unfortunately OP is "partly" correct. Normal mode fights are purely a healer check, everyone else can be a complete clown and it doesn't matter, power-heal through stupidity, rezz what can't be healed. As long as the healer stays up then its all good. Sadly the solution isn't using a stick, people who stand in 3 mechanic don't care enough to not stand in 3 mechanics regardless of the punishment. I don't have an easy solution but maybe some carrot might work better (though I'm not sure people care about carrot either). Maybe a massive xp/gil/tome bonus based on % of damage done from the DPSes.
stop trying to make normal content harder.
You want harder content? Play the harder content.
There's Savage and Ultimate encounters for a reason.

I am getting the feeling that small sect of folks who treat this game as a second job, actually want to weed out those of us who simply play for fun. Which isn't really fair. Normal content should be accessible to everyone. Again, the hard tiers exist for that reason. Making the entire game overly difficult just alienates the largest portion of the playerbase.
