Missing Gil from Retainer

I haven't been able to play too much in the last few weeks and have just realized all my retainer gil was missing. it was quite a sum that I cant recall but it was around 115 million gil suddenly gone. I do not know if it happened today or weeks ago. I would really appreciate some help with this and am trying not to panic. Thank you.

I'd change my password for good measure...I hope you get the help you need though I'm not sure if this is the proper forum for it. Did you try contacting customer support?

Thank you Rueby, I took your advice and changed my password to be more secure. I placed it here as a bug as everything else on my character looks correct, my character still has gil on hand that was not lost (around 700k) and nothing else looks out of place. I really hope there isn't any foul play and this was just some server side bug. I noticed on the lodestone there were some issues with retainers' entrusted items/gil displaying incorrectly, but as for my case my gil just isn't with my retainer at all. It could be related, that's why I made the thread here for now.

As for customer support I used the in-game support desk and pretty much wrote the same summary here with a link to this thread. I really don't know how to contact a GM directly or at least have one open an investigation to see what might have gone wrong... to be on the safe side though I'm trying not to leave any gil with my retainers until I can get more info.

The gil is displaying correctly for me however when selecting a retainer the extra menu shows 0 Gil, however when you press the Entrust/Withdraw gil, it shows the entire amount and it's displaying properly for me in the Retainer menu (first one when you interact with the bell)

I hope for you it's not foul play and that support helps you with it.

Did you try to withdraw from the retainer? Maybe it might be a visual bug or something and your gil is still there.

Yes, I did try to withdraw but none of the gil is physically there. That's one of the reasons now I'm not quite sure how long its been missing since sometimes it will display 0 gil and 'none' for selling after a period of not using the summoning bell in-game.

although it did usually show the amount I had there on the first menu but as I went to withdraw the other day it had nothing. I did some tests to make sure the retainer can sell items and be entrusted with gil and both seem to function as normal. it still has a visual bug in the second menu of showing gil:0 even when it has an entrusted amount.

Thanks again for troubleshooting with me, It is very much appreciated! I found some resources in the NA square enix support FAQ to see if I can get in contact with a GM to look further into the issue. I'll post any updates.
