    I agree but instead of removing them I just think they should be relaxed.

    Mainly because yes there are a lot of jobs now and if you don't raid, you can only gear up probably 3 roles maximum to tome BiS before your gear becomes obsolete by x.2 or x.4 patches

    It would be nice to be able gear up tanks, healers DPS AND one more DPS role, or all the melees within the melee role

    having the tome limit to 900 instead of 450 would help a lot for that

    I would argue that the lockouts are kind of countering the design of the Job system, the whole point of which is that you can get and play all the Jobs on one character... But then with the lockouts, you're essentially locked to just one Job for a patch cycle as you can only gear up one Job at a time.

    If someone doesn't want to do Y, then let them do X so that they can obtain Y.

    In this case, if someone doesn't want to invest into crafting, then just invest into other facets of the game. Literally every single facet in this game awards Gil, or something that can be exchanged with Gil. Running ex primals? Cool, loot on everything, and then Desynth it (Only requires Level 30), and then sell the items you get. Running maps? Cool, sell the items with that. Running exploratory content? Cool, sell the fragments and logograms, or farm other items from there for Gil.

    The only stance I can remotely agree with is the purpose of weekly lockout/caps, e.g., with Tomes etc., - One of the biggest selling points is that you can do everything on a single character. Lockouts and caps are an antithesis to this philosophy.

    I don't want them to get rid of the lockout but it would be nice if they could make it so the lockout only applies to your job or role. That way you could gear other jobs as well.

    I dont know why people are against this lol Would it really hurt to double all loot caps at the very least.

    OP has a point, since forever I want to do my reclear in savage then go help other players kill in pf, but you cannot because you'll grief their rewards. It's a shame.

    Yoshi's view on the game is someone shouldn't have to do certain content to get certain gear yet if you DON'T have penta melded crafting gear you are griefing.

    It's not griefing unless you're trying to clear week 1. And tbh, with the attitude you have you probably are not a week 1 clear player anyway, so no you won't need to penta melded your gears.

    Gear lockouts and tomestone caps exist because otherwise people would run dozens of raids and hundred dungeons in the first week, and then spend the next 6 months complaining about how there's nothing to do.

    Actually, raid/tome gear serves as a "nerf over time" and lockouts ensure that it takes time for said nerf to take effect.
    Mathematically, you don't actually need the gear from savage to clear savage. World firsters prove that time and time again.

    However, the general raiding population always needs a helping hand and that's what the gear is there for.
