But flood Ul'dah and grind it to a halt with meaningless pets? Terrible Idea.

BTW, what's with all the requests for 'vanity stuff' recently? This is an MMORPG, not Second Life! How about asking for utility in the game? Cosmetic/vanity stuff should be limited to seasonal events.
That is your opinion, they are not meaningless to many people.

This allows different dynamics into the game that people enjoy outside of the daily grind of the next best gear, next best weapon and story line. This is content that can be geared towards a player who prefers an in game hobby other than crafting or gathering. It appeals to those of us who enjoy collecting. This is a standard in many MMO's right now and there is a player base directly connected to hobbies such as this. Rewards can also vary in dungeons.

Right now we have the standard Armor and Weapon drops. Hamlet gives armor, second hand tools, seals and some fireworks. A mini Ant from CC or a fluffy ghost from Darkhold, how about a little flame from Bowl of Embers and a (dare I say) mini Whisker Wall that all WHMS can turn into their SLAVE DO DO THEIR BIDDING MUAHAHAHA... Ah hem.. sorry a little bit of residual hostility.

At the end of the day when the festival is over, /firedance is gone, the decorations and fireworks have disappeared and all we have left is our Yukata and sandals. I feel like a little bit of life left the game. Having a little buddy around would be cute.
