From testing I've done as well. There has been no difference with more Max HP.

Aye you do have a good point there, I would emplore those with HP builds try it out more seeing as the 180 hp variance is the absolute best I could do without spending a few mil on gear I wouldn't use or grouping with a bunch of people (which was late so that was a no go). However my standpoint about MND/STR actually factoring in the WS damage factor of Spirits is still prominent in my testing, I will fall back however and do some more tests with a greater range of HP when I can however.
