I'm writing to address a critical issue that has been plaguing many players, including myself, since the launch of Dawntrail:

1. Frequent Game Crashes: The game has been crashing far too often, severely impacting the player experience.
2. Widespread Problem: While not affecting everyone, this issue is widespread enough to warrant immediate attention. It's been a week since the launch, and we've yet to see an official solution or acknowledgement.
3. Gameplay Disruption: The constant fear of crashing is ruining our enjoyment of the game. It's difficult to immerse ourselves in the new content when we're constantly worried about losing progress.
4. Diverse Crash Scenarios: Just because players experience crashes in different situations doesn't make this any less of a systemic problem. Please investigate this as a widespread issue rather than isolated incidents.
5. Technical Expertise Concerns: Most of FF14 player base are not computer experts. Asking us to blindly follow generic troubleshooting advice from Google searches is not only unhelpful but potentially risky for our systems.
6. Hardware and Driver Non-Issue: These crashes are happening across various graphics cards, and affected players consistently report having the latest drivers. We've reinstalled the game multiple times to no avail. Please stop suggesting driver updates or reinstalls as the solution.

We respectfully ask:

1.For official acknowledgement of this widespread issue
2.A timeline for when we can expect a fix
3. More transparent communication about the steps being taken to address this problem

Yeah this is getting frustrating. It's so sporadic for me. Sometimes I'm good all day. Yesterday it was 7 times with various errors between the game exe, Nvidia DLLs and DirectX.
All other games are fine. I've done full hardware tests on everything multiple times to no findings.
Some members of reddit say it's due to not meeting minimum specifications.
But I know full well that's not the case.

Intel i9-12900ks
Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti founders edition
64 gb ddr5 6200mhz ram
Few other bells and whistles.

Point is it's not hardware.
Zero FFXIV crashes prior to Dawntrail.
Some of the crashes don't even seem to make it to the system error log they are so benign. While those that do offer little information.

I really hope SE acknowledges those of us having this issue as it's very disheartening how utterly random it seems to affect people.
Of my FC it's only me.

I have also been having constant crashes ever since 7.0 released. This has only happened since Dawntrail and i cannot even enjoy the game without worrying if im going to crash while im in the middle of an instance which just happened today, and also prevented me from getting any exp and gear at the end of the instance. I do hope they address this issue soon

I’ve been having the same issue since launch. Sometimes I get a pop up with Nvidia errors, sometimes the game just closes. Extremely frustrating, it’s really ruining my enjoyment of this expansion. Never had a single crashing issue with the game prior to Dawntrail, and I’ve been playing since 1.0. My guess it’s the DLSS implementation, but I really have no way of knowing. I’m running on a 4080, no issues with other games. Seems like the game might be a little more stable in full screen mode, but it still crashes.
