I mean yes the ppl on forum are destroying it. From the filthy lazy casuals u know who you are. To the people pushing toxic positivity....yeah it is.

I wouldn't say that we're destroying the game, no. I came here for a couple of reasons, first and foremost the state of healer/tank balance but also the fact I found Wuk Lamat (even with JP voices) completely insufferable. Sure, not every story has to have the WoL in the drivers seat, other characters should have stories too but in DT I felt completely robbed of any agency and any moment that could have been considered mine was robbed by Wuk Lamat, then there was the fact we were told we were getting a chill, low stakes story, pray tell, what is low stakes about another civilisation coming to harvest souls on a global scale? Not to mention just how poorly written the whole arc was, I ended up just calling him Evil McEvilface at the end because that was the extent of his identity, as with Zenos these writers seem to have a habit of making me apathetic towards villains. By the time I come to DT's final boss it was similar sentiment of "just go away already" and then we reach the biggest affront of all - The end of that fight. It's a good fight until that point and I hate every second of it, in fact I've yet to see anyone not hate it, it's an insult to the player, plain and simple.
On the difficulty, I loved the first runs of most duties as healer, I enjoyed throwing out heals left, right and centre, I enjoyed using my entire kit and actually appreciating my skill level. Predictably now everyone has gear and knows the mechanics (and a vast majority of tanks I encounter are warriors) all of that is gone, replaced with the same disappointing monotony of EW with some slightly more interesting boss aoes to avoid. Though I approve of having more interesting aoes to avoid, I'd like some actual mechanics, Vault had chains, Aery had tethers, in EW we had bosses start to reposition themselves and now in DT tanks don't have to think about that at all. It seems to me that for every step they've taken forward with this expansion's combat design they've taken at least one step back... Or maybe that's the reverse since the best design is behind us..? I'm rambling so I'll stop.
The only people capable of destroying FF 14 is Square themselves.
And between the DT MSQ and the non-existent balance between Jobs, they're doing a damn good job at setting up the destruction.
SB had excellent combat mechanics going for it though.
Everything started getting homogenized after it, so until they get back to looking at the individuality of jobs, it's not going to be the same as SB.

I love the game, but I'm disappointed with DT, hence why I'm here.
I've not enjoyed the MSQ in DT whatsoever, continuing the trend from EW Post-MSQ.
The new combat encounters are fun, but I can only do the same exact scripted dungeon and trial bosses so many times before the novelty runs out, especially since I find jobs - the medium through which we experience said bosses- to be dull, boring and 'samey'.
I don't care about jobs getting easier or whatever. It's about homogenisation for me. Thanks to the two-minute meta they all play very similarly: Some flavour of frantically weave 30 abilities within 20 seconds, do nothing fun for 2 minutes, repeat.
I'm also so over the formulaic content. Even the TREASURE DUNGEON is literally a reskin of the old ones. They couldn't even give it a different layout smh. Hallways of trash with 3 bosses. 4 1-boss square arenas. The same 3 flavours of fate quests. And when he was asked about it, Yoshi's response was "easier for new Devs to design".... What about the players? What about us?
Finally, lack of individuality, uniqueness and quality of life. They talked so much about updating character models, but what is it worth it when we still have only 4 faces per race and BASIC things like horn shapes, tattoos, eyebrows, facial hair, make-up, etcs are lacking? What's the point of all the new Glamours when the dresser is still the most convoluted and restrictive system in the MMO genre? What's the point of 2 dyes, when a lot of gear dyes very badly?
It's not players, but SE's laziness and complacency that's killing the game. I'm tired of looking like every other player, with the same gameplay regardless of job, repeating the same dungeons ad nauseam. I think I'll take a break from the game. Maybe it will be fun again when the new field zone drops...
So were going to pretend the ppl complaining about how hard the dungeons are, how ppl complaing that savage shouldn't have glam tied to it, or how ppl were complaing about viper not being easy don't exist on forums.... ok

To be fair about the tanks. Maybe ppl need to learn how to heal instead of cure 1 all the damn time. I seen way too many crappy healersSo many people started posting in the forums for the a lot of reasons involving DT, reason that is: healerstrike (the jobs are really need more love from devs part and they never listen, people is tired), tanks again being overpowered in this game, for Wuk Lamat which is the worst the game has offered in terms of story or characters and overall DT because it's purely shit and the problem that they fucked up with most model characters of the players and we are not really happy about it and want them to fix what they promised to fix instead of making it worse and ruin our characters.

I have said "Good tanks make complacent healers, make good tanks. Bad tanks make good healers, make bad tanks" this is increasingly becoming "WAR/PLD make healers invalid, make bad healers, make good GNB/DRK". After all, why would people learn to heal when there's nothing for them TO heal because WAR and PLD do it all for them? Maybe if you want people to learn to cast more than cure 1 then give them something to cast more than cure 1 on.
There will always be bad players. I've seen more bad tanks who somehow despite being overgeared manage to have all the durability of wet paper than the amount of bad healers I've experienced when I don't play Healer myself.
But instead of simplifying the game to cater to these people, they should instead try to find a way to get them to play better.
Or just have Cure 1/Benefic 1 upgrade to Cure 2/Benefic 2 like they should have from the start.I have said "Good tanks make complacent healers, make good tanks.
