Adding tails to the aesthetician is a good idea. Changing what is visually just your tail’s hairstyle (at least on miqo’te) is a lot more believable than changing the shape of your brow bone or adding/removing scars instantly, but they still let us do those things. Changing au ra tails is a little more questionable on the immersion front, but they can add and remove scale patches from their faces, so maybe they’re just versatile like that.

Honestly the ability to hide your tail should just be toggle-able like hiding your hat, weapon or adjusting your visor.

Right now we have two things that happen with tails:

1) They clip through capes

2) The cape is designed to have a huge slit down the middle, which (to me) looks bad after the hundredth time.

There *are* some gear pieces that actually hide tails (like the Algaia Fending Chest) so clearly this is an option.

What do you mean? The Evenstar Coat looks great with a tail.... It looks really excited!

Also, when you wear the animal outfits, looks like you got a dangler.

I had to google to know what gear piece it was, but unless the creator of the video I watched was using mods the Miqo'te still had a tail with that item.

Googled that one too and from what I found the tail is not there.

I wouldn't mind them adding a toggle for tails, to be able to have it hidden with armors where it's clipping badly, most prominently with happens with cloaks, and have it visible when an outfit actually works with it.
