It is less efficient to stay and wait though. The Forlorn adds, what, 300k-ish to a fate? But you may be waiting around 2 minutes for a fate to spawn, whereas if you go to a new instance, you can easily clear a whole other fate in those 2 minutes which gives 450k or w/e. (Plus when you stay behind, you're doing the fate alone now)
