SPOILERS: Finished DT MSQ, Now Rambling

I made a previous post about my thoughts on MSQ up to Lvl 98 so i won't retread old ground. I thought the last two zones were the most well-rounded and offered a compelling dilemma (Side note: They won't just leave the final zone like THAT forever will they? D: ). Still, much of the writing remained rather clumsy in execution, and though I understand why Wuk had to be there from a dramatic perspective, the focus on her throughout the entire story was disproportionate and I'm left exhausted by her presence. Regardless, my opinion on those zones is quite positive while my thoughts on the story overall remain unchanged.

More positively, though, I'm in disagreement with much of the community when it comes to pieces being/not being laid out for future story expansions. I believe there's quite a bit to work with here. The introduction of Electrope could likely serve as an interesting vehicle for future conflicts while reintroducing something akin to creation magics back into Etheirys. In my head, this makes all the sense in the world seeing as how most major zones previously introduced in FFXIV draw a great deal of inspiration from real life locations/history (Garlemald=Russia, Ishgard=Great Britain, so on). We now have a fictionalized, largely pre-colonial South America rich in rare desirable ore with an analogue for the Aztecs forming seemingly positive relations with Western travelers. It pretty much writes itself.

Character-wise, I'm hoping Krile has quite a bit more added to her. Erenville would be a fabulous companion to have with us in our adventures with loads more potential to explore as he hopefully opens up to the WoL. I think the gods may even bless us with long overdue Yshtola development seeing as how travelling between reflections remains a recurring theme, one in which she has major personal investment.

I only have so many letters to work with here so I'll finish off by saying I'm pretty excited for what's to come Hopefully future expansions take themselves a little more seriously. I'd love to hear some speculation and thoughts from all of you, though! Please feel free to add your piece.
