1) If you actually read the threads created by people regarding the content difficulty, there has been significant backlash by even a lot of casuals on this. A lot of casuals are actually happy with the difficulty. I know I am. If they actually read the forums, they would actually be more inclined to keep the difficulty as it is. I've seen casuals jump on casuals over this fact.

Content such as Eureka and Bozja were both polarizing due to perfectly reasonable reasons, for starters in order to get the Eureka relic, your only option was to do Eureka, there was no alternative. Hence why we got Bozja, and then people took issue with Bozja due to exceptionally poor future proofing, and continued lack thereof, e.g., Delubrum, and many of the steps were more efficient outside of Bozja than inside of Bozja. I don't think there were many people that actually asked for what we got, some were in support, and a lot of people had heavily distaste for it.

If people are calling Wuk Lamat bad, then that is because she is bad. A spade is a spade. A bad character is a bad character, and if you actually once again did your research, you would see quite a few threads which went a lot more in depth into the issues with DT, e.g., story pacing and some blatant rewrites of the lore, and what we understand about the soul and memories.
I'd say yes there's a discrepancy on the surface, but honestly you can absolutely make sense of souls and memories from previously established canon.

Either 1: It literally is an artificial Aetherial Sea - in which case the cleansing of memories from the soul makes complete sense. The only step removed is that it doesn't reincarnate, but is instead harvested

Or 2: It's more akin to Kairos, in which case I seriously worry for the souls once they inevitably return to the Aetherial Sea when Alexandria crumbles.

As for Bozja and Eureka... Yeah? Duh? It's optional content? Bozja certainly wasn't polarizing on relase. Yeah it definitely had poor future proofing because of Delubrum. I don't disagree there.

But like? It's an optional glowy weapon. You don't have to do it if you don't enjoy that type of content?

Yeah and it's made normal encounter design turn for the worse in Endwalker especially. Glad that it's changing now. I'm not saying normal needs to be literally extreme trials. I'm asking for it to be more akin to Stormblood/Shadowbringers Alliance Raids.
