Animal crossing-esq aquarium content would be cool!

This idea kinda spawned from seeing the museum in the final area of Dawntrail, but I think it would be a really cool if there was a piece of content similar to the museum in animal crossing!
Like a run down aquarium where you donate fish you catch, and watch the place get repaired and your collection grow! Kind of like the Doman Enclave perhaps?

I was thinking it would be cool because it will also give the fish you catch more uses, plus a lot of the fishes in game have models due to housing too.

I spent a lot of time in animal crossing filling out the museum, it was very fulfilling seeing the fish swim around, the bugs chilling, and my collections grow. If there was a piece of content like that in FFXIV I think it could be a really fun casual time sink!

Anyone else think so too?

I agree! It'd be nice to have something to do in between patches of content when there isn't a lot to do. I thought Island Sanctuary would be like that for me, but sadly I couldn't really get into it too much.

I'm all for having more collections that you can show off and have an actual impact on your surroundings, so something like this sounds fantastic and would instantly make me start trying to collect all fishes. I don't know how many fish actually have unique models though, but it sadly sounds like this would require way more effort than SE is willing to put into something like this.

When Island Sanctuary was announced I was hoping that it would be a bit like what you're describing, just with your Minions collection, but that ended up being pretty disappointing. So I don't have high hopes of something like this happening for Fishing.

New content always requires a lot of money and resources, but as long as the players show an interest perhaps they will consider it ahaha~
I think they could either add this aquarium type content to island sanctuary or have it as its own area like Doman Enclave. Either way I think it would be really fun and would add more fun things for the fisher mains out there!
