MSQ Roulette needs to do away with the dungeons and focus on the story boss battles

The MSQ dungeons are just.... so boring. Not to mention that the cutscenes are UNSKIPPABLE... They need to be made into solo content.

Things like Ultima, the first battle against Ifrit, etc... those major story battles should be the MSQ Roulettes... this is just asinine. Long-winded for no reason. Everyone I know hates getting stuck in Prae lol. Just give the Prae XP bonus to Ultima and the like and get it over with already :/

The exp from that exists as a lure to get people to do it. If you don't want to deal with Prae, get your exp elsewhere.


It exists because people ruined the experiences of new players by rushing through and not allowing them to go at pace, hence the redo and unskippable cutscenes.

If you're of the opinion that they should just remove MSQ Roulette, then why not just...not queue for MSQ Roulette? You're not forced to do it. It's not like it's a daily requirement or your character gets deleted.

I don't like the lengthy cutscenes either, so I simply don't queue for it. I don't need that large lump of EXP that badly. But I do know there are new players out there that want an enjoyable experience when doing things for the first time and the Duty Support system is slow and boring as hell. (I also find Trusts to be more toxic than players because they force you to restart the fight if you mess up and die, where as other players will just res you and continue on).

The way to fix dungeons is to make the non-boss portions more interesting. Make the trash packs more challenging and interesting like in WoW.

Mentor Roulette also gives you Extreme Trials that can take longer to clear than Praetorium and Guildhests that last all of 40 seconds. I'm sure there's many people out there that just want "Bockman Roulette" so they can quickly get the mount but that's not what that's there for.

They already redid them. They decided that they would remain dungeons. They also decided that they would maintain a unique roulette for them. But Praetorium is far shorter than it used to be - it used to be 1 hour whereas now it's only a bit longer than Castrum Meridianum.

Moreover, you don't need to do them ever again. You can simply avoid Main Scenario Roulette. You will occasionally get them in Mentor Roulette, but this only affects mentors doing that roulette, which is really a relative minority of players (including myself, by the way).

The bonus XP and tomestones are to compensate for the additional time it takes to clear those duties because of the cutscenes, etc.

Don't do MSQ roulette if you don't like it. Do 2-3 dungeons appropriate to your level instead.

They really should make Prae, Castrum and Ultiman into solo instances. I like the bonus experience, however, I would rather see them get rid of the MSQ roulette altogether and split the experience off to the other roulettes.
