    Yep, I'm still doing FATEs in both ShB and EW zones from time-to-time. Combines leveling some of my alt classes with getting the gemstone rewards.

    Eureka is still popular and it's been like seven years. I don't think they will ever get rid of flight, people seem really attached to not playing the game, but it would be good for it.
    "Popular" among a certain very select segment of the population? Sure. "Popular" in terms of the playerbase at large? Not even close. Heck, FATEs are more "popular" than Eureka.

    I mean, from someone who loves Eureka. . . I really think it has it's own place. Let the open world be the open world. I do agree that fates need a bit of a re-work/maybe not so formulaic, but please let Eureka/Bozja just exist in their own zones.

    I love how, in the open world, you can just walk/fly around and take gposes/talk with new people/catch up on old content/fly around/or, yes, even do some fates. It is just casual fun that I enjoy and you don't get that kind of experience in towns.

    Bozja/Eureka is for when I wanna play more of a strategy game/ wanna think more. The fact that mobs hit harder + unique level system + no flying + unique resource system just breaths new life into the world and I quite enjoy having the differences.

    Besides all of that, I do actually think a large playerbase would quit with these changes. I am already regarded as "scary" cause I got the BA mount (which only took 2 weeks so I don't get the big deal) and nobody will touch those zones from my friend group :/

    People are like this because they're completely insulated from any sort of gameplay for the entire MSQ, not because Eureka is particularly challenging. It's not. It's hostile, which builds relationships and community.

    Expose them to it, and they'll adapt and love it. It's just a reflexive reactionary response to changing the status quo.

    Also, how would this, in any way take away your ability to walk around and gpose / talk / catch people up? You're acting like that's impossible in Eureka or in any other game's open world.

    Lol, if people wanted exposed to it then they would join the content that is already there.

    And regarding gposing, it is a lot more difficult when there is less safe zones to be able to get it done is all I am saying. As the open world stands now, unless I go into a fate that I am the "appropriate level" for or I "Level sync", or I go to an area with a hunt, I can generally find a safe and easy spot to gpose in. Eureka does have safe zones, but fewer and farther between. So no, not take away the ability to but makes it a lot more difficult.

    Also, flying gposes are def a thing and I enjoy :3

    So, personally, I would be against the request to make zones more like Eureka/Bozja :3

    HoT map design is the gold standard for MMO zones. Even GW2 maps that came after struggle to live up to HoT with how vertical and multilayered they are, the secret areas, the new paths of traversal that opened up as you progressed through the masteries, the challenging mobs, and so on.

    Super agree. But somewhat controversial opinion, I also really like exploring EoD maps. Scratches a similar itch. Grothmar and Drizzlewood are also excellent, but much more focused on events than exploration.
