Level 100 retainer gear versus venture yields

Time to figure out what's needed to get max yields on the one hour ventures with level 100 retainers.

Combat

At item level 682: max yield (15) up through level 92 materials. Level 93-95 materials yield 12. Level 96-97 materials yield 10. Level 98-99 materials yield 7. Level 100 materials yield 5.

At 684, yield of 12 extends to level 96 materials but no additional changes

If yield increase is similar to what we saw in EW, I expect max yield for all materials will require around ilvl 695. Will update as I get more gear for my combat retainers.

MIN/BTN
Gathering only needs to be what is listed for the retainer to do the venture. Max gathering currently needed is 3277. Yields are determined by Perception. Max yield is 30 for items from normal nodes and 9 from timed nodes.

I've started with HQ level 100 gear with Guile X in every socket except 1 leg (2nd would exceed Perception cap) for 4662 Perception total. I then filled in that 2nd leg slot with a Guile VII and added an additional Guile X to every piece that would take one. Finally I moved to adding Guile IX.

These cutoffs aren't precise, just where I saw yield increase as I slowly added more materia to a couple of pieces at a time. If others post more precise breakpoints, I'll be happy to update.

up to level 95 materials - max yield of 30.

FSH
Max gathering needed for one hour ventures is currently 2621.

At 2636 Perception, I get 3 fish from casting and 7 from spearfishing for all fish level 91+.
At 2886, yield is 5 and 9 for level 91 and 92.
At 2934, yield is 5 and 9 for level 93.
At 3034, yield is 5 and 9 for level 94 and 95.
At 3084, yield is 5 (no spearfishing) for level 96.
At 3132, yield is 7 and 12 for level 91.
At 3182, yield is 5 and 9 for level 97, and 7 and 12 for level 92.
At 3232, yield is 5 and 9 thru level 100, and 7 and 12 for level 93
At 3282, yield is 7 and 12 for level 94.
At 3332, yield is 7 and 12 for level 95.
At 3382, yield is 7 for level 96.
At 3446, yield is 9 and 15 for level 91
At 3474, yield is 9 and 15 for level 92 and 7 and 12 for level 97

To get higher Perception than this, it would require using XI and XII materia on my retainer's gear. I'm going to pass on that.

I have always a google sheet for my various things including all my 9 retainers.

If you are not a crafter, then retainer gear should not be a thing for you since you just need to hit the minimum to get the level 31 mission.

One thing they did this expansion is to give all retainers types a cap level hunting/gathering/fishing items, so you will have always something to get that can be useful.

Bear in mind that miner and botanist retainer will get more options as patches goes on. They might add item this time around for hunter and fisher, so be on the lookout for major patches.

For specific items here is the treshold for level 100

Hunter (any battle jobs)
Level 100
5 items : Item level 670
7 items : Item level 685
10 items : Item level 700
12 items : Item level 705
15 items : Item level 715

Botanist/Miner (You need to increase perception to get more yield)
Currently, this is impossible to get 40 and 50 as for 7.0 The maximum perception with current gear is : 5168 if my calculation are correct.
Level 100
15 items : 3277 perception
20 items : 3476 perception
30 items : 4965 perception
40 items : 5462 perception
50 items : 5958 perception

If you really want alot of items, get to 4965 perception and you get 40 for each ventures from level 91 to 93, you'll get 30 from level 94 to level 100

Fisher (this is only useful for grand compagny delivery and your culinary)
Level 100
5 items : Gathering 2621
7 items : Perception 2259
9 items : Perception 3227
12 items : Perception 3550
15 items : Perception 3873

If you have all 3 types of gatherer, getting 15 items should be a breeze if you focus on miner and botanist for your fisher.
