Just got to 50.

I recently got to 50 and got all my AF. Now I want to start looking into upgrades and accessories. Should I get Coral Rings or Zircon Rings? Black Pearl Bracelets or Zircon? Mage's Choker or Spinel? Suggestions for body pieces upgrades are welcome.

Different set ups for different fights. Ex, for Garuda you want to have around 450-460 magic accuracy before you stat anything else.

In other cases, like walking through AV or CC, you're going to want to focus on potency and intelligence to effectively clear our lesser mobs, and then accuracy for the boss.

There is no set, uber gear unless you have triples/quads every where, and even then, I know there is some change in allotment.

As for materia, I've noticed a common trend

Weapon: INT melds.
Head: INT or ACC melds
Body: AF, Militia, or PIE melds
Legs: INT/MIND melds or Militia
Feet: Potency or Elemental Potency
Hands: Mage's Gloves or Crit Melds(which apparently is not that useful, so the majority goes with +9 acc/pot)
Shield: Acc+10 from grid, or Thoermon from CC

Accessories based on fight. I always have Choral, Zircon, Mage's Ring, Mage's Choker, Spinel Choker, Mage's Earring, and Black Pearl Bracelet on me depending on fight.

In what instances would you use Mage's Ring over Coral/Zircon? And when is it better to use Mage Choker over Spinel?

Is Black Pearl Bracelets always better than Zircon Bracelets?

Also I'm currently using Mage's Rope Belt. Is that the best?

Ex, for Garuda you want to have around 450-460 magic accuracy before you stat anything else.

It's ~530 (w/ food and song) magic accuracy for garuda, and because you dont always have 2 brd, you need to be ready to have enough magic acc.
And to complete, you need around 480-490 for most bosses/primals in this game.

Mage's ring + zircon HQ are better for :
- Thunder
- Fire
- Blizzara
- Freeze

Zircon HQ x2 are better for :
- Thundara
- Thundaga
- Burst
- Fira
- Firaga
- Flare
- Blizzard
- Blizzara

Like Rau said, you need to focus your magic accuracy first and then you can think about other stat, so you should never have to choose between a corail ring and a mage/zircon ring. Same thing for the mage and the spinel chocker : if you have enough magic acc, then use the spinel chocker. If not, use the mage choker.

Is Black Pearl Bracelets always better than Zircon Bracelets?

Zircon Bracelets everytime, you have everything you need to lower your enmity between freeze, Quelling Strike and Chameleon. The Black Pearl Bracelets only gives you -0.4% of enmity... it's not something you should care.

Also I'm currently using Mage's Rope Belt. Is that the best?

Serpent Sergeant's Belt is the best belt you can have, then it's the Raptorskin Satchel Belt with HP or Mag Crit Pot
