    PICTOMANCER ONE BUTTON FOR ALL MOTIFS BEFORE FIGHT

    Hi there, been playing PICTO and having a blast with it but please can the devs look at making an action that sets all motifs at once before a fight. Been doing fights and tanks tend to pull without waiting for the picto to finish their motifs.

    Please please because when you wipe and reset a fight many tanks just start immediatly and even if you rush to get them all in time you still miss one or two and then have to hard cast them at the start of the fight and that messes up your opener.

    It's not urgent but it would make starting or after a reset a lot less stressful.

    This would also make it much easier to hotbar on controller! Hotbarring pictomancer on controller is weirdly difficult because one half of each hotbar is hard to press while moving and the other half is dead simple to press while moving, so instants and long casts taking the same slots makes it hard for me to conceptualize a comfortable organization. A single button for all instant motifs would let me put the long casts in good assignments for long casts without worry.

    It would be a nice QoL thing for sure.

    Or at least it could get the AST treatment, as in, having the 3 motifs already painted when entering/resetting an instance.

    This would be the best scenario, tbh. Especially when you're progging and dying early.

    I have never had that problem. You can cast all motifs like inside black loading screen after wipe and the group have that hidden wall where you are forced to wait. I used to do that for aetherflow back in days, so I could save few seconds before next pull. What annoy me more, if tank is not using pull countdown, I can not use Rainbow Drip opener.

    Yeah thats fine outside of combat just have all the motifs activated by activating one.

    We might get the same treatment other jobs have. The one I have in mind at the moment is sage which starts with their addersting and addersgall gauges maxed upon entering an instance, party wipe, or in the case of dungeons respawning.

    Picto on controller is extremely easy to setup, IMO. Probably one of the easiest jobs to do so on due to the long recasts and few buttons.

    I also don't understand what you think this will help in combat, they just want pre-pull chaff reduced. You would still always need all three motifs in combat.

    It would help because I could cleanly treat motifs as long casts rather than stuff I need to be able to press while sprinting to the next trash pack. The number of buttons is fine; "this is either instant or a long cast" is obnoxious to pick an assignment for.

    Like, my difficulty is not in being able to assign buttons for everything. My difficulty is the conflict that buttons I can easily press while moving are also the buttons I have difficulty remaining still for and am likely to jostle the joystick, so any ergonomic solution for in combat is annoying for pre-pull, and anything good for pre-pull is annoying for in combat. The obvious solutions like binding the motifs to multiple slots based on timing, or to switch between two hotbars based on context, are both far less elegant than a single out of combat button to attempt to fill all canvases.
