Yoshi P - Your next live letter, DT msq and the damage to the brand

Simple question, what actions will the team announce at the next live letter to try and repair the DT story writing?

Replacing one person as the msq writer isn't the complete answer by any means. The whole team must have reviewed, discussed and finally approved this msq over a lengthy period as a good enough product for the playerbase.

So, what next Yoshi P? Carry on as we are or announce revisions?

Please do not focus solely on the Japanese side of the Dawntrail production. Please consider the complaints regarding the English localization and its subpar quality. I am very disappointed with Dawntrail in English.

The only time they might ever acknowledge it is when they announce the next expansion.
And the max they will say is one line like "The last expansion gave us some indication on what people liked and disliked in the game's story, and we did some changes in this new expansion to address some of the concerns."
If you fire someone for not writing the best story arc, there would not be a lot of writers left in the world.

That's not damage, that's just divisive opinions, and the MSQ isn't the only measure of an expansion. Endwalker had a good story, and it was to me the worst expansion contentwise. I almost didn't get Dawntrail because I thought we would have more of the same. Did people look back at Stormblood and Lyse and say "will Yoshi-P please address the irreparable damage this expansion has given the FF brand?"

Like I'm having a blast playing through Dawntrail, especially looking forward the raid scene next month.

we have experience 6.1 6.2 6.3 6.4 6.5 and 7.0 one of the worst stories after finishing finale ark..

that doesn't show anything but lack of story building and selling point of FFXIV lately has been the worst part of the game..

that is what will happend if you are STORY focused game stop releasing a good story for 5 patches and 1 expansion in a row..

Weather you develop an engaging gameplay fixing gameplay issue and rebuilding progression system

or you keep releasing unfinished disconnected stories with 0 world building so people start to skip the main selling point of the game.

we need a good jump in budget and content to keep FFXIV the main money milker of SE alive for at least 5 years..

at this point.. i don't see ffxiv keep it 10 years even 5 years.. people already getting bored from the current system from 2.0 and now 7.0 nothing changed

This is such an absurd post it's hard to even like fully comprehend that a serious person is actually saying this stuff.

They put out 10 years of bangers, start a new story from scratch, and y'all can't even let them get past the opener before calling it a failure.
