My opinion on the Dawntrail difficulty, as a terrible player

Let me preface this by just saying this: I am not good at FF14. Sometimes I have the worst reaction time, which is exactly why I don't do Savage raids. I saw someone in another thread mention disabled people, and I myself have a disability I won't disclose.

That being said, I didn't have any issues with how hard the Dawntrail content was.

Let's look at just what point we're at in the game. There are over 900 quests in the game, 80 dungeons (not counting Deep/Variant/Hard), 65 raids, etc. We're long since done with the tutorial stuff - people should know how the game works by now.

I swear, people got way too used to how easy Endwalker was.

It gives me the same vibes as the "glams shouldnt be gatekept behind savage and ultimates" discourse we had a while back.

People who's only real interest in FF14 is to just use it as a glorified social media platform, dress up their character as extravagantly as possible, then spend all day every day in player housing venues RPing. Which is totally valid, don't get me wrong, but when that alternative playstyle starts getting people complaining that they actually have to play and engage with the game to get rewards for playing and engaging with the game, then it just starts being exhausting.

I appreciate you so much for coming forward and saying this. Too many of the people trying to say that the game is 'too hard' are claiming to represent the casual and/or disabled communities, when in reality I have found that most casual or disabled players are closer in mentality to yours. It needs to be made VERY clear that the people who are complaining only represent themselves and not the casual/disabled communities at large, so every time I see a post like this it makes me happy. You are great, you deserve headpats and breakfast in bed.
