I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
If I stop complaining I'll just start sobbing about what they did to astrologian this expansion(I say this with levity- but man I am bummed out)
I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90
As yoshida once said, complaining players still care. Once they stop complaining, they quit and they're just gone.
If you want people to stop complaining they can, but then once their tolerance for issues is hit they are just going to leave with their sub money and be gone. That's the gamble you play when you silence dissent and negative feedback.
There is a clear pattern with critic and user reviews, and with the feedback that this expansion's story has been sub par for the final fantasy franchise, along with various groups and special interests being annoyed that the issues they care about are being shoved to the back.
The story of Endwalker covered up a lot of issues and cracks that were forming, and without a great story, players are noticing the issues and posting about them.
It's easy for people of whatever group to say "oh well don't let the door hit you on the way out, if you don't like this expansion good riddance, if you don't like these duties good riddance", and so on but for SE, they just added a ton of server infrastructure and hired a ton of people, that's an ongoing cost, so they need to keep a high number of subs running to fund this game.
They need people to be happy, or at least placated and still subbing. Complaining means they are on the edge and can be brought back but once they stop, they're gone and it's expensive to advertise and entice them to pick up the game again.
Oooh, LOVIN that triggered passion. And, humorously, while I thought the exact same about yours, I. . .actually believe we’ve established some common ground. Huh, I call that progress.
‘He who has no expectations will never be disappointed.’
I give up on you.Just because you quit, it doesn't mean they don't care, it means you aren't fit for their product. Each company has a specific market target. It doesn't have to be you.
And complaining does not equal with giving feedback. There is a clear difference between the two. If you think feedback = complaining then we are pretty much done here.
You clearly don‘t read my posts and just fabricate what you want to read.
I said that it’s a problem if they only react when the playerbase starts quitting.
Your answer to that is to say that I‘m no longer the target audience and no longer part of the market they want to sell after many years.
I also didn‘t use the word „complaining“ but „negative feedback“.
You also don‘t even respond to the other comments I’m my posts and answer my questions.
I won‘t respond to you anymore because you don‘t even want to have a proper argument.
Have a good day.
WoW devs were also told by addicts that the game was perfect and they had some superiority complex. Then came Shadowlands with a record-low active player base, and mass migration to FF14, and other games. Sproutbringer happened for a reason.
Now after seeing Endwalker live and Shadowbringers on the last patch it's kind of obvious the game is somewhat stagnant and copy-paste of previous expansions when it comes to structure. The story was supposed to create engagement, a spectacle, and aside from a few moments (like with flying NPCs), it was the opposite of that. And when the story builds no engagement there is less incentive to grind expansion patches. Just wait for 7.55 before 8.0 or just ignore it until the actual change takes place. And that's on top of the FF14 player base being mostly plot watchers. Dawntrail started from a record high point and now the metric will be how many will stay for 7.1. Encounters are good but not everyone is here for savage.
They added 2 new DPS jobs, yet side quests or fates can't be used to level any side job. A simple change that could be retroactive. We have 2024 and voice acting is still very limited. And when 8.0 shows up the expansion zones will be like any other expansion zones - abandoned. The only "preparation for the next 10 years" is a key and probably more space and reflections, depending on what 7.X patches will tell. A Disliked acting ruler will be hidden from screen time like the previous one.
And from their interviews where each feature like job stones recently indicates anything they do is done from the perspective of money. They are for-profit company but its policy also limits work on game debt as it won't bring subscribers or new sales. New expansion, new job, mount, collab... that is what matters. They might push for a good product alongside the next release but that's the interest of only part of the company.

If they want to stop complaints maybe fix the problems so the game feels fun for all types of players not just a select few.
I understand that you dont care about the game so you dont care that something about it is bad, but some of do, so we want it to be better.
