Like, seriously, it seems like a really awesome thing for an adventurer, and ESPECIALLY the Warrior of Light, to have.

Revive in the middle of combat? Yes please! Turn the souls of beasts into free limit breaks? Sign me up!

We kill enough random people and animals as it is, I'm pretty sure my WoL accidentally annihilated a group of protesters earlier today after tripping over a rock while walking to the grocery store. Hook me up with one of those soul suckers that the sentries have and give me the Galool Ja VIP pass to Orgenics, and I'd be actually unstoppable.

Returning to the Lifestream? Moral quandaries about using souls as fuel? Man, who cares? If they wanted to return to Hydaelyn to be reborn, they should have thought twice before throwing hands with the dude who saved the whole dang universe. Honestly, if they don't know who I am at this point, that's on them. I'm kind of a big deal.

This means in a world where reincarnation is real you are perma killing someone by using a regulator. Using a feral soul of a monster whatever, but using an actual "humanoid" soul is insanely immoral in the context of FF14's world system.

This means in a world where reincarnation is real you are perma killing someone by using a regulator. It's not like I'd be going out hunting for souls to eat repurpose, enough morons make their way to me when I'm minding my business fishing. If they want to throw their existence away for something stupid, that's on them.
