This is hopefully a known issue...Wanderers minuet is insanely hard to weave in the first gcd.
The easiest fix would probably be to make it usable on targets outside of combat but I'd be fine with anything else.

This has been a complain I’ve seen a few Bards make so I imagine if devs weren’t already aware they should be now.
I don’t know what the burst opener is supposed to look like now, but isn’t it better for first gcd to go Windbite (Raging - Minuet) then second Venomous Bite (Finale, BV). I find popping Raging before Minuet ensures the combat has begun so it’s available. Only downside I can really see at the moment with that is losing like 1s of raging strikes, but it’s better than missing song activation or drifting cool downs.
Maybe they could make songs like Pictomancer’s paintings where they can be used as needed instantly/without cool-down but without giving the buff outside of combat, then remove the combat restriction. That way you could set up Coda more easily to avoid going into initial burst with 1-0, and there wouldn’t be any delays in when songs can be activated during battle
Right now the optimal workaround seems to be to use heartbreak shot on pull, then stormbite into early wm.
And yea, I kinda agree there are a lot of possible workarounds as long as the 20 second burst is initiated early enough but it also seems like making a mistake or failing to line up certain things is extremely punishing. This iteration of bard in particular seems super unforgiving. Mistakes add up and losing out as early as the pull timer hits zero feels sooo bad to me haha

Yeah definitely. Even outside the opener things like missing a gcd or drifting a cool-down can have a massive effect on output, especially with how rigidly songs need to be rotated.Right now the optimal workaround seems to be to use heartbreak shot on pull, then stormbite into early wm.

And if you die outside of like, a tiny window between Paeon and Minuet that doesn’t throw the entire rotation out, you’re completely out of luck lol.
The worst part is knowing that no matter how perfectly executed your rotation is, you’re still going to be providing less than a melee dps face rolling their keyboard lol.
Yeah, it's very inconsistent when the game registers that you have entered combat to be able to start using Wanderer's Minuet. Please fix.
Do we know for sure what Square thinks the BRD opener looks like? In other words, do they think it's not a problem because the devs all have ultra low ping, or because they don't "expect" BRDs to use WM as their first oGCD right after an opening Stormbite?
