I'm not completely thrilled with cut scenes.

It's not that there is something wrong with the cut scenes itself, rather having to constantly look down at the dialog window takes me away from what's going on.

One of the biggest problems is that after I hit select to proceed the cut scene the words stay in the dialog window until the next set of dialog is inputted. Rather then watching the awesome cut scene I"m focused on whether or not the new dialog has appeared.

Just making it so that when you selected to proceed to the next dialog, if a cut scene had to take place before words, remove the present dialog, that way there is a visual indicator that then next dialog is ready (when it appears in the dialog box). This is a temporary solution that will go a long way.

My real suggestion is to build a program that allows you to input dialog into the actual cut scene.
Like a comic strip bubble that appears next to the character which is speaking. When you press select because you've read that bubble it will disappear and the cut scene will continue or the next dialog box would appear.
This will go along way to help us feel like we're in the cut scenes and apart of the action.
