Ranged Attacks Not Working

Party or solo: Both, I was in a FATE party, and then I left to try and resolve the issue
In-game time: Unsure, about 10am Eorzean time when I left Heritage Found?
Area and coordinates: Heritage Found doing various FATEs, Empyreum
Housing: Striking Dummy outside Empyreum FC House
Steps:
1. Use any ranged attack beyond ~3 yalms, see it doesn't work
2. Move around to try and find where it does work
3. Get confused as to why the game is telling you that you're not in range when the range limit for your attack is 15-25 yalms

This seems to be an issue that happens if you don't have "Automatically face target when using action" clicked on, based on further investigation.
