Do the mobs killed need to yield exp or do you need to land the killing blow?

Or just need to be in a group that kills stuff even if they don't yield exp?

No way I havent killed over 50k in groups.. Im pretty sure you have to land the blow? I only have the 20k acheivement.

thats from the loadstone achievement site. it says that enemies killed by partymembers are included.

Hello Helena ^^. First, you do not need to be the player that lands the killing blow; you can just be in the party that kills the claimed mob. Second, the mob does NOT need to yield XP. This is based off my own experience of getting the “100,000 enemies defeated!” notification by killing mobs within the Shposhae in which none of the monsters yielded any XP. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the confirmation. I spent the entirety of November in Shposhae killing ghosts and although I haven't hit 100k yet, I know I'm very close.

Hey Victor ^^. Shposhae is a great location, however, I would watch out for the "wisp" type enemies. Some of those enemies, especially the ones that linger around the large seashells, only "disappear" and are not actually "defeated". Since there isn't a counter and I didn't earn my achievement this way I can't confirm they aren't counted, but I have a suspicion that they will not due to the verbiage. You can always test this theory by bringing a mule down and killing 100 wisps to see if that mule gets the achievement.
