Same problem here - massive lags in all duties.

I also would like to report the same issue while playing frontline, using Germany Vodafone. I am playing on Chaos, Louisoix.
Update: Vodafone Germany.
As many have said. No problems before patch 7.01. Had severe lags on the day of release. After a restart these were gone. Today (7/17/24) I had these problems again. Restarts didn't help this time. Dungeons were playable with small lags. Trials and raids were already a big problem. Alliance Raid were unplayable. The problem seems to increase with the number of players. However, according to the data, the internet connection works continuously and the ping (maximum value for these problems is below 100) is never so high as to justify such 10 seconds lags.
These are not ping lags; it's packet loss lags.Update: Vodafone Germany.

It can be assumed that the problem lies with Vodafone. Since it only affects Vodafone customers, it probably has nothing to do with the patch. The timing is simply bad.
It's hard to explain...
Imagine a road leading to a specific destination is damaged. In the context of the internet, this is similar to a 'hop' or a node in the network being down. You may not notice the issue in every application because not every destination on the internet requires the same path. Each application or request might take different routes, bypassing the damaged section if possible. This is why some services may still work while others don't.
I have already informed Vodafone Germany and described my problem with the one hop that leads to packet loss.

Vodafone Spain here, playing on Chaos right now. 100% loss too, good idea to run pathping atleast...

Same issue here, Vodafone Germany (Cable). Crippled myself through the first 3 normal raids from the new tier before turning on a VPN, seemed to fix it for me for the time being.
I'm using mudfish until this is fixed, seems to work flawlessly, so I assume it bypasses the problematic node.
Same issue here - Vodafone Portugal, playing on Chaos
We're 2 people playing in the same connection, on patch day my partner was lagging, yesterday it was me. Only on duties and seems to get progressively worse when there are a lot of mechanics happening at the same time. Tried everything, including restarting the router, but no luck. Fingers crossed we can finish the raid tier today
Well after i send ticket to FFXIV support they send manual for google DNS change it, it helped tried frontlines and run in the middle of all the effects and ppl and it was smooth no problem. Before i contacted vodafone support and they checked local and global stuff and everything was fine so, i hope it helps to others.
DNS server change, is currently also having a good effect for me.
If there are any negative changes, I will update the post.
Summarized
What can help:
- Change DNS server (e.g. Google) [I am currently testing]
- Use a VPN
- Reconnect and hope
What cannot help:
- Disable firewall
- Start the game as administrator
- Grumble
PS: Important for console gamers - I also changed the DNS server in the console under the network settings, because the setting in the router was somehow ignored.
