Square Enix's Plan of Action:
1. Let the bot's do their thing in 1.0.
2. Ban them before 2.0.
3. Shake Head in bemusement
Imo I don't even a single resource should be wasted on banning them. Every MMO that has ever existed or ever will exist will have RMT. Not a single thing can be done about it as long as people keep buying. In short... who cares. If someone wants to waste money exorbitantly ridiculous high price of gil, they've earned it imo.
Just think of it like charity, some idiot wastes money on buying gil = a starving Chinese child gets to eat a meal. At those prices probably stake and lobster.

I wonder if they will ever bother to ban all those people who botted all their crafts to 50 in a impossibly short amount of time(impossible if you didn't cheat and enjoyed thing such as eating , sleeping, going to work, etc). Right now it just seems like they are are ok with it and the lack of action taken against botters just encourages others to do it. It seems like even more people started doing it once hamlet came out.
Dunno how they'd go about doing this. There is a firm strategy of: Getting jobs to 50 via leves, being gimp but having leve money and then spamming leves for crafts post 35 and using the leve money to get there. It's a short amount of time and i've seen new players now with all crafts @45 in their first month. :x
