It's not condescending to say the game is designed to be played by literal children. I would know. My ex let her actual child play the game, and he still performed better than the kinds of players SE keeps designing for.

Children are surprisingly intelligent and if you underestimate how intelligent they are, you end up getting blindsided as a result.
That being said, the people who these job design homogenizations were for weren't clever children, and aren't intelligent adults either.
Watching forum drama be like

whereas you, just want things to remain as they are.. for you....where you always omit the "for me" and your "invisible many other people"The issue is that "better" is entirely subjective, and what is "better" for one person could just as easily be "worse" for others. Refusing to make adjustments can result in stagnation, but changing too much can just as easily make something fall apart.
I think it would be wise to differentiate between "concerns" that can be addressed without potentially impacting other players negatively vs. those that can't. For example, people asking for additional graphics options, more ways to complete relics, etc....providing those extra options doesn't take away from anyone else. However, addressing other concerns can require significantly and fundamentally changing the game, and that is a risky endeavour.
Everything the OP said, for example, about making things "better" omits the phrase "for the OP." Interestingly, said OP also seems to get a free pass for referencing a claimed "invisible many other people."
things about opinions is, the same can be said for all of them. they are entirely subjective.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE

And when you have a concern about the game I hope people are there to call you a minority until the invisible majority has eaten itself alive
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

You are terribly wrong If you think this is the Case... There are less and less people who watch ff14 on Twitch (Peak was round about 2 years ago when Asmon Played). Many people unsubbed because The Story ist terrible and does Not motivate to do anything Else. Besides that there is nothing Special...every Expansion is The Same Patch cycle with The Same Stuff nothing Out of The Box...

Twitch is a terrible metric, I've never watched streaming for this game. Hell, I only watch one streamer at all.You are terribly wrong If you think this is the Case... At least the population playing on Steam shows a similar trajectory as Endwalker. Huge expansion launch, very very steep drop immediately that will probably level out to the addicts after a few more weeks.

FFXIV in particular is one of those games you watch after you've experienced it yourself. Hence why multiple of the more story happy streamers waited with starting the story.
why
This game is so simple, why would anyone spend even MORE time watching an influencer dork do it? Are they stupid?
